Convenanted Property Design Approval Process
Formalized design guidelines are part of all British Properties neighbourhoods. These guidelines are important to all property owners because they protect everyone’s property values by ensuring a minimum standard of design quality and neighbourhood consistency for any home alteration or redevelopment. As a registered owner in a British Properties’ subdivision, when you intend to build, extend, or alter a building or construct a fence or any other structure, you must file an application for approval of plans at British Pacific Properties Limited’s office.
Information material covering Procedures, Design Guidelines and Application Requirements are available only for property owners or representatives applying for approval of plans for any and all property covered by British Pacific Properties Limited Restrictive Covenants:

A pre-design meeting with the British Pacific Properties House Plan Approval office is recommended for all new construction and significant additions or modifications.
Design controls vary by neighbourhood with specific requirements and application procedures for each. You can access the requirements and application procedures for your neighbourhood by choosing the appropriate one from the following three neighbourhoods:

For homeowners in the "original" British Properties neighbourhoods (east of Canterbury)
